I have talked a lot in the last little while about my workouts, where I workout, different workout strategies and frequencies of workouts. But, truth be told, your diet is so important to weight loss. Probably much more important than the actual workouts. You can workout like a monster and if you are not eating right you will not see any change. However, the reverse is not true. If all you do is concentrate on diet you will lose weight. So, I thought it might be helpful to some if I revealed what my daily diet looks like.
Breakfast (08:00)
- 2 x Hard Boiled Eggs
- Apple
Snack (10:00)
- Banana
WORKOUT (11:30)
Post workout (12:45)
- Shake (Isolate Whey Protein Shake)
Lunch (13:30)
- Soup (various kinds)
- Veggie Mix
- Granola Bar
Snack (15:30)
- Yogurt
- Nuts
Supper (18:00)
- Meat (Chicken, beef, lamb)
- Rice or Potatoes or Sweet Potatoes or Salad
- Vegetable
That is my diet from Monday-Friday. Normally I will have a dessert with Supper on Friday night. Saturday and Sunday is normally a big Breakfast/Brunch and Supper. Yes, only two meals on the weekend. It’s what works for our family, the weekend is a busy time but this allows us to have at least four times during the weekend that we all sit down together, catch our breath and share our day. Sometimes there is a snack through the day on the weekends it just depends when we had Brunch.
That’s it! This diet keeps be between 1800 – 2000 calories a day.

This post is 100% true.
Diet is probably 90% of the battle. When you think about it, say you work out 10 hours a week (which is already way too many), you still have 158 hours a week to screw everything up. Drinking an extra 20 oz Coke today would require you to run almost 2 and a half miles just to negate the calories.
Find a way to eat the right foods (that you like), and the weight will come off.
