I know that I have been kind of hit and miss here lately. I really have been very, very busy. All the stuff for Google Wave has really taken-off for me and has demanded a lot of my time.
But this site is not totally forgotten. I feel very guilty not finding the time to blog more over here. I am trying to get at least two post a week. At least that is what is in my schedule. However, I realize that some weeks your lucky to get one. I will strive to do better. Next week is a travel week (headed to New Jersey for the week) and typically I find some airport/airplane time to write a few posts.
Fitness wise, I have started Karate lessons. I have done it for the last two weeks and have really enjoyed it. Some of the physical benefits that I have found on the web are:
- improved reflexes and coordination
- Increased performance in all physical activities
- Increased strength and stamina so you feel great all day
- Increased flexibility and weight control for better overall fitness
- Cardiovascular workouts ( heart and lungs ) to keep you in top shape
- Greatly improved balance
- Ability to defend yourself
I was really sore after the first couple of workouts. Obviously I was using some muscles that I was not accustomed to using. Moreover, I love the stretching and flexibility routines. I now try to do some of them before and after all my workouts.
I know that I seem to be changing my workouts a lot. I think that is normal. You get bored (or at least I get bored) doing the same stuff all the time. So, if your like me, try something new. Try some martial arts training. Not only will you get some physical benefits you will all learn some discipline & the importance of respect; which is typical with all martial arts training.
It doesn’t all have to be running and banging weights, you can find a fun activity to work into the routine also. Mine is now Karate. What is yours?

I didn’t really see a good way to contact you so I just decided to leave a comment. I’ve enjoyed reading your blog for quite a while and I too enjoy all things geek and many things weight loss. I’ve been on a weight loss journey of my own for a bit and I’ve been blogging about it for about 4 months. I wanted to let you know that I’ll be adding your blog to the Awesome Sites section of my site.
Thanks for a great read!
